Helen Proctor has been in the graffiti and street art scene for more than a decade in Australia. She grew up painting trains, got into the Sydney street art scene as it was on the rise, and then decided to uproot and move with her partner to Amsterdam, where she learned the real tough slog that came with building a name with no connections.
On the podcast, Helen talks about how tough, but rewarding it is to rebuild, and gives us some entertaining, frank insights into the struggles of being an artist; from working extra jobs, to suffering weirdos and having nowhere to pee when you're painting.
